Worked beautifully when buying the discounted Switch games at Target.
Bought two $30 Switch games, and $40 Star Wars Outlaws for Switch 2 for 3 cents short of $100. A little over $108 after tax.
You need to already have that much money loaded into your Cash app balance. Not 80% of it, but the entire total that shows in the Target checkout. Then you select the Cash App to pay, and then it will not show the total with the discount applied, it will automatically show that everything has been processed and paid and then take you back to the Target website/app.
The Target website/app will show order confirmed and the FULL price, making you think that they didn't apply the 20% discount.
Go back to the Cash app and you'll see that the 20% of money is still sitting there. That's how you know they applied the promo discount. You can return the money back to your bank.

Says who? How would it even know what you're buying? The discount happens before the money even leaves your account. Where does it says it's disabled for gift cards?

Just think how a disabled payment form looks when can't be selected, the bullet is grayed. Probably hard to imagine so here you go.
SWEEEEET, Airpods 4 with ANC for $87, and Best Buy will let me trade my airpod 3's in for $45, so solid lil upgrade, new battery and goodbye lightning for $42 bucks.
no I've used the card many times to trigger the offer in the app; it's works.
I just had doubt because it's a gift card and target it blocking it and would they do the same in the store.
if you buy a toaster at target store using the card, it will work, it will trigger the discount; for sure. unless something has changed from a few years ago.
