It's just a light that you set the colors on. The pictures they show are misleading because the images and video on the Amazon page appear to match the TV colors as if they automatically change depending on what's shown. Deceptive advertising.
On this cheaper version with Music Sync feature, the strips include a built-in microphone to pick up ambient sound and sync the brightness dynamically to the audio's loudness.
