I actually took the same step and purchased this kit last year because the D750 was too cumbersome when I went on long trips (it was Japan for me). Along with this I also purchased the FTZ I adapter to use my 24, 50, and 85, and while I did use the 85 from time to time (since it ends up being ~127mm) and the results were great, and the autofocus was just as quick as it was on my D750.
Full frame is nice, but the compact footprint of this camera along with the best kit lens on the market and the versatility of the full control layout was awesome. I never felt like I missed the viewfinder since the screen was adequate. I don't see this as a D750 replacement for me, but it did make me shoot a lot more when compared to lugging my chunky DSLR, although I do think it can be for some.

This has at least one missing thing that for me is a deal breaker: don't have viewfinder. When you are outdoors and the days are sunny, a viewfinder is very much needed. Also some people that have used real cameras and not phones to take picture will feel that they need it to frame properly the composition
Step up to the Z50 if you want the viewfinder.

Nah, I shoot Canon but I wanted to bring to the attention of possible newbies wanting this one.

I am also a D750 owner who bought a Z30 for traveling to Japan. I'm here now! Z30 has been great! Perfect size for all day carry and the image quality has been fantastic. I've only used the kit lens, but I'm considering picking up the FTZ for cheap her in Japan - only reservation is that if I'm pulling out the larger glass might as well pull out the larger camera.

I bought this kit at $399, at $379 it's even better. Doesn't have the look of a trendy compact camera, but it's size is smaller than my brothers Fuji set up.

I'd love to get a similar deal on the two lens option. That's the only thing that kept me from pulling the trigger before the price went back up.

Are the non-kit lenses bundled with z30 refurbished also?

The other thing I was wondering about was the no view finder, could see that hard with a 70-200 2.8 strapped to it and looking at a screen (hand holding of course)

If you are shooting with a 70-200 f/2.8 lens, this isn't the camera for you

Nikon has more discount in Jan.

But two combo deal is very unlikely to happen due to Tariff. Nikon place a 20% price hike on new production products.

I've shoot on 70-200 for 4 hrs on z50/zfc, its fine. Just use monopod or tripod for extended use.

Run n gun is good too

Z50 zfc are best overall choice for sunny conditions, pro-am body

Z30 is more of indoor camera, 2nd & 3rd choice
