This was better than the original, but still not the best. I hated the seed checkpoint system, and the umbral lamp got real old, real fast.

Currently playing this game. Well worth it at this price point, especially if you like games like Demon Soul's. Howlongtobeat.com says it takes 28.5 hours to beat the main story, 44.5 hours to complete main story and sides, and 96 hours for completionist. Considering that there are 3 endings, depending on gameplay decisions, this seems accurate. There are "hidden" side quests that don't have any impact on the game but reward you with gear. If you don't play online then you'll miss out on some features but nothing so important that it will change the gameplay dynamics. I don't play online and have thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Is there room for improvement? Yes, but for $15 I'd buy it again, without hesitation
Overall solid game.

I actually really enjoyed this game. Would totally recommend at this price for anyone open to a Souls game.
