This MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is being treated as a solid midrange Nvidia card, especially for 1440p gaming, local AI work, and memory hungry tasks thanks to the 16GB VRAM. It is also getting picked up as an upgrade from older cards like the GTX 1070 and 1070 Ti, with enough headroom for RTX required games and several years of use. The main hesitation is price, since the $369 tag is seen as only a modest discount versus MSRP and close enough to alternatives like the Radeon 9060 XT or a 5070 to spark comparison. PayPal Pay in 4 and cashback can cut the effective cost a lot, but checkout and promo eligibility have been inconsistent.
PayPal Pay in 4 can work when the checkout flow is adjusted to avoid saved PayPal details.
PayPal points credit can be visible as pending soon after purchase and can include tax in the points calculation.
The 16GB version can support local LLM experiments and AI workflows like Immich processing.
The card can be a practical upgrade path from older GTX 1070-class systems for RTX-required titles.
Checkout and cart pricing can fluctuate, including switching to unavailable status or showing a higher Black Friday deal price.
PayPal Pay in 4 availability can fail when the option does not appear for Walmart or when the store is not listed in the PayPal app.
PayPal Pay in 4 can be unavailable in Washington state based on PayPal BNPL terms.
PayPal Pay in 4 can be denied after too many recent credit applications, which blocks repeated attempts.

IIRC, the small print in the original promo terms specified a max payout of $250. So there's no abuse even for multiple buys. But as usual the SD effect kicked in, and everybody and his pet poodle piled on, so not a surprise the promo got curtailed--as with pretty much every promo before it.
For those who haven't gotten the Pay-in-4 promo, save it for a big ticket purchase. It can be multiple items as long as it's in one purchase.
>AMD cards have retained their value and don't go on clearance sale, either, and as far as I can tell AMD doesn't seem to care too much about competing in this space.
Yeah, interesting that Radeons only got a teeny discount this year, compared to Nvidia's more substantial discount, at least for the midrange & entry-level. One can argue that 9070XT's $600 MSRP is low-priced already relative to 5070Ti. Regardless, AMD is chasing AI just as hard as Nvidia.
As for Intel, people were hanging onto rumors of B770. But given Intel's dire state, it was a foregone conclusion that consumer (discrete) GPU was a goner. Battlemage is obsolete by this point anyway, and I doubt Celestial (Xe3P, not Xe3) would make it into discrete GPU form, other than for the Pro line (for AI workstations).
On the bright side, Consumer GPUs iterations will be slow-walked, and whatever you have or buy today will have a longer useful life ahead of it.
Which reminds me, I need to get some DP->HDMI adapters, since my monitors are pretty ancient and don't have DP, and the 5060 Ti has 1 HDMI and 3 DP ports. I was looking at this part,
hdmi to dp adapter 3pk $4.99 https://amazon.com/dp/B0F3824RLZ
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
