This was $1099.00 a few weeks ago. How does it compare to Costco's upcoming Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5i deal?

The IP Pro 5i has a better display in terms of color gamut and better ports selection; in almost everything else, this is better. This has a more efficient processor and a significantly bigger battery, which translates to a noticeably better battery life. The RAM is a bit faster on the IP, but in real life, you would not notice any difference.

Thanks for that - I didn't realize the MSI would have better battery life than the IP

81Whr vs 99.9Whr, that, along with the more efficient Ryzen 7 350 would give a better battery life.

Yeah - makes sense. I overlooked that. One thing that's a bit inconvenient on the MSI is that the charging cable hooks onto the right side of the laptop - making mouse use a bit uncomfortable, unless you keep it further away.
