It's actually 699 for the M4, 899 for the M5. I went ahead and got the M5 for 200 more. Bummer the old keyboard for the M2 isn't compatible so I had to get one of those too.

Update - Sorry, didn't notice this was cellular, I was referring to WiFi only.

In store pricing looks to be same as online for the M5 - $1200 for 13" 256 and $900 for 11" 256

Depending on when they are going to school.. maybe. They likely won't need the cellular on this one. The plain wifi model is $200 less for an M4 (700) vs the M5 model (900). Plenty of YouTube comparisons between the 2.

Wasn't worth going to an M5 to me, I just need the cellular and a newer model than my M1 air. The battery in the pro models sealed the deal for me, since they seem to be the only one that can actually hit the ~10 hour rating that Apple boasts with mixed use.

Is it replacing a laptop? If they only need iOS apps, I suppose this will work but despite a powerful processor it can't run MacOS applications. So if they need a computer, this is not one.

What, I think many of your statements are objectively wrong. I have been member with Costco for 20 years and yet to see a rude member. The deals for medication, grocery items like fish, meats and sometimes coffee , electronics are very good. 2- cash back as an executive member pays back very quickly.

Even with the changes in return policy, they are more liberal than other retailers . I purchase virtually all my electronics with them (computers, TV, Apple devices ).

I just saved more than the cost of my executive membership on 4 tires for my car. the list goes on and on.
