When you freeze these the tops crack as you take them off. Need to defrost first.

lets microwave uranium glass instead; the PYREX I think has a bluer tint and the Pyrex that is soda lime has a greener tint if I remember correctly

cheaper glassware is at least better for tomato sauce than plastic or styrofoam

I saw the post that brought attention to pyrex vs. PYREX. Thank you. I looked this up as I never knew this. Recently, I had a glass pyrex rectangular pan shatter when I took out of a hot oven and gently placed it on my cold glass stove-top. Now, I know why that happened and will need to be more careful.
