In a dilemma between this or the Braun series 9? Has anyone used / tried both and prefer one over the other?
I'm in the same boat! I'm on the fence between the Braun and the Panasonic, and reviews are so mixed. I don't want to buy both and have to return one. To make it worse, I'm waiting for a sale/discount to purchase, but they're never both on sale at the same time.

Buy the one on sale, take the 40 or so many days for your face to get used to it. Take notes. Don't swap between each as you originally planned, which will never let your face get used to it. Then if your not sure still, wait for the other to get on sale and give it the same fair trial. Compare your notes.

The Braun allows speed and aiming. The Norelco shaves everything indiscriminately and faster, with even less irritation. Braun takes less space up in my EDC, my office, and my car.

That's a great strategy about the adaptation period—you're completely right!
My biggest conflict is the return policy. Amazon gives 30 days, but honestly, I'd feel too guilty returning a used shaver after 20+ days just because I didn't love it. I know the 40-day commitment is best, but my personal ethics about returns and the short window make the decision tough! I'll definitely take notes and try your plan. Thanks again!
In a dilemma between this or the Braun series 9? Has anyone used / tried both and prefer one over the other?
I own a Braun Series 9 bought from Costco last black Friday(by my wife) and I hate it. It has 2 shaving modes, Sports+ or normal. Its a smooth shave and leaves my face super smooth BUT its soooo slow. Its not uncommon I have to spend AT LEAST 10 minutes shaving especially if I didn't shave for a few days as the foil cannot handle the longer hairs, so first I start with the trimmer, then I start in normal mode (because Sport+ doesn't seem to handle the length the trimmer left it at) then after normal mode gets it shorter, I can go to Sport+ but I have to go over each area at different angles/directions so its very time consuming and I'm impatient(or spoiled by my old rotary shaver)...YMMV...
Therefore I'm in for the i9000, I was keeping an eye on Costco's deal with blade replacement for $239(i9000 prestige) and additional accessories but I went with this one as I don't need the accessories.

Couple bucks on eBay / Amazon gets you a Small usbc adapter. They make them for Panasonic, Braun and Philips. USBc is not waterproof like the oem connections.
