Yes. You always need to have (at least) two connected to each account in case you lose one.

FYI, this is not the Yubikey 5 like this post. It is FIDO-only protocol, where as the 5 supports Multiple protocols.

Passkeys are better and more convenient. Make sure you protect your email account with 2FA and have a recovery code printed written in a sticky note in your safety deposit box.
Multiple keys in multiple places and recovery codes securely stored likewise are the answer.

I have the Type C variant and it didn't last long hooked up to my keys in my pockets...NFC still works though. And Paypal only allows 1 key. Another way to log in to that is OTP codes.

Anyway know the best way to get started with this. I want to use with Bitwarden amongst other things but they are sitting on my desk for weeks.

This useless as none of the financial institutions support any security keys (except BoFA). Those are the places you need extra security and that is wide open.
This week BoA refused to recognize my security key and had to try multiple times for days, until I could get the website to text my number. I then removed my security key for 2FA lol.

Got 4 for $40 from Cloudflare in 2022.
From a google search, those appear to have been Security line keys, not 5 series or 5C.

Wish this would also apply to their lower tier and nano versions as well, I want to try it but can see so many situations where it creates more headaches than it solves.

How you use the Yubikey for authentication depends on the service you are setting it up with. Some services that incorporate FIDO2 hardware authentication support the Yubikey directly. Other services that use OTP based code authentication like Authy or Google Authenticator can be setup to use The Yubico Autheticator OTP code generator which addds additional security compared to software based authenticator apps. Yubico has a dedicated page for setting up a Yubikey with Bitwarden.

Code appears to only work on the 5C keys, not the 5 NFC keys. Is there a different code for those?
