Have to go through walmart and walmart will then connect you to Verizon. You will get the phone from Verizon either way but $300 gift card is only eligible when you start the process with walmart. Hope this helps!

i would never deal with walmart+ ATT with this kind promotions.. or anything related to wireless phone with walmart as walmart is never good at handling customer service with issue i had.. last time i pulled the trigger with iphone 14.. they messed up.. they sent me the wrong phone with different sim card,, so they dont match. and icouldn't activate it or use it.. i was advice to return them ..and problem was returning the phone.. i did return it eventually but it somehow it was lost in transit.. I NEVER PAID FOR IT. as it was never my fault... att put the bill in colllection and i wil never ever deal with att again with such promotions. it was a battle with them calling back and forth every month.. in the end i was slapped with collection because i never paid it.. it was never my fault that Walmart messed it up .. then the phone was never received because it was stolen in transit.. if you face a problem with return or issue walmart is not good at this.. i even went to walmart store they dont want to take it in.. they said to mail it instead.... but its not a good experience when you have to deal with such issue like i had... so beware...

Anyone can help me out pls?

I just went to a Walmart today and bought a IP17. Got the GC in email in an hour. The agent like many described opened the box and "make sure the phone works", whereas I think this is how they can track sales counts.

But my problem is, after I set up ATT login email and password, when log in to app or webpage, it also asked for something called security passcode. I don't recall setting it up, unless the Wal-Mart agent did?? It says without it I can still log in, with not with full account details visible or something along the lines. I can't even reset it as it appears you can send new passcode to preset phone number, but my preset has nothing. Have a chat online and the agent told me I have to take ID to their store to reset. What a hassle.

But to follow the instructions, I did ask the online chat agent to help me paid off the new phone. Right now just waiting for tomorrow to continue with the eSIM swap, unlock and cancel.

Questions:
1. Anyone had the same security passcode issue? In myATT app my wireless service is currently shown as error/unavailable maybe due to too soon? And I can't tell the device or IMEI under the account yet. Only thing shown is the new phone number.

2. Since I paid it off today, I would assume I can do the swap tomorrow. It's just the ATT self-service online function for this account right?
The passcode was set during the signup flow. The WMT sales guy must have made up a passcode on his own without consulting you or letting you know the code afterwards. Poor judgement on his part. You can either call the WMT store and find the guy or goto ATT store and reset it. This actually happened to me today and luckily I called the store back about 20 min after walking out and got a hold of the salesperson and he told me the passcode he made up for my account and apologized.

Without the passcode, you won't be able to sim swap via online account unless you do iphone to iphone direct sim transfer.

Thank you tho is great insight! I will still try call Wal-Mart tomorrow but chances are the sales person may not be there anymore. Can you elaborate on what is iPhone to iPhone direct sim transfer? I plan to use my old unlocked iPhone XR for the swap, and sounds like this direct transfer is even more "subtle"?

Ain't no way wmt guy made up a pin. When you set up an account with att, they make you set up a security pin to verify that's it's you. So before Any changes to the account or support call, they ask you for the security pin.

I can't speak for others, but when I set up my account it did not ask me to setup security passcode or pin. Just used the welcome email link very simple and straightforward. Which is why this is frustrating.Going to have to call wmt later when they open wireless and ask whoever it was during that window as of course I didn't ask for the sales name.

When you setup a new ATT acct in store at WMT, it's part of the signup flow to create a new pin for the account. Sometimes the salesman decides to take liberties creating a new pin for you without your knowledge.

So I just went to ATT store and got security pin reset. All looks good right now. Just need to do the swap tonight. Since I plan to do iPhone to iPhone swap, do I just use the Apple built in eSIM transfer function but putting 2 phones together close, instead of ATT?Also when paid off the new iPhone from ATT chat, do you all receive email confirming? I only got text msg and email saying payment received for this account, but no indication of phone paid off or anything.

You can use the iPhone to iPhone transfer function. If you paid the remaining balance in full then you should be able to request unlock after SIM swap

Can we get 12 separate gift cards from target for $100 each and recieve $25 target rewards each and then use to apply for buying in apple store or apple.com for iPhone 17 pro max ?
Yes you can. the offer at Target is $15GC for every $100 AGC. You save additional $4.25 if you use Target issued Red card,
Load all AGC to your apple account and get the phone whenever you like.

I find that unusual because last year's online sale lasted through the weekend! But you most likely will have to go in-store to get it.

I think the question is whether it will pay out more than 1 $15 gift card, as the terms and conditions say its only 1, and if you try to do more than 1 online it only gives you 1 gift card total

It's out of stock for AT&T everywhere near me too per the Walmart website. I'm hoping for a restock tomorrow.

Right but the ad says only with target circle leading me to believe that after the first purchase it wont work without another account, so again asking if anyone has SUCCESSFULLY done this yet
