Even if you haven't actually had identity theft occur from the hack (yet) you could still get part of the settlement payout because your information was stolen from AT&T.
Here's a USA today article about it:
https://www.usatoday.co
Here's the Top Class Action information about the settlement (note originally the AT&T settlement needed to be submitted by November 18, 2025; but it somehow got extended to December 18, 2025. This particular Top Class Action article didn't update the submission deadline, but by following the link to the actual AT&T settlement website you can see that it clearly says that the deadline is now December 18, 2025):
https://topclassactions
According to Top Class Action:
[Who's Eligible
For the AT&T 1 settlement class, individuals in the United States whose data elements were included in the AT&T 1 data incident that was announced on March 30, 2024.
AT&T 1 data elements include some combination of names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, account passcodes, billing account numbers and Social Security numbers.
For the AT&T 2 settlement class, AT&T account owner or line or end user whose AT&T 2 data elements were involved in the AT&T 2 data incident that was announced on or about July 12, 2024. AT&T 2 data elements mean current and former customer phone numbers, the phone numbers with which those customers interacted, counts of those interactions, aggregate call durations and, for a small number of individuals, one or more cell site identification numbers associated with the interactions.
Potential Award
For the AT&T 1 settlement class, up to $5,000 for documented losses or a tier cash payment. For the AT&T 2 settlement class, up to $2,500 for documented losses or a tier cash payment.
Proof of Purchase
For both the AT&T 1 and AT&T 2 documented loss cash payments, class members must submit documentation that is not self-prepared by the claimant, such as receipts, that supports the losses.
Self-prepared documents, such as handwritten receipts, personal accountings, statements, declarations or affidavits, are not sufficient on their own to qualify for reimbursement. However, these documents can be considered to add clarity or to support other submitted documentation.]
You don't need a physically mailed Class Member ID number. The settlement website can help you look up if you have a Class Member ID number under the Resend Class Member ID option on the website (please see screenshots).
The Class Member ID lookup is based on what your full name is and then either your email address, phone number, or AT&T account number.
I personally had 2 separate AT&T now cancelled account numbers, so though I tried to look both of them up I received the same Class Member ID number for both of them…
YMMV especially for those who have done the Walmart Black Friday iPhone gift card deals multiple times.

T-Mobile Keep & Switch just recently added the iPhone 17 line up as eligible Keep & Switch phones that they'll help pay off for you if you port over to T-Mobile for a bit of time. The last time I looked at the website in the last month there was no stated minimum period of time needed to stay with T-Mobile to prevent them from clawing back the phone rebate cards…unlike what AT&T and Verizon do when they help someone buy out their contract.
