PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

Got spoiled by previous years. Next year it will be mute as they phase out Hulu and roll all into Disney. I think it's a bad move. As I feel Hulu has a wider appeal over Disney. Even if all same content now.
Everything Hulu will be a part of Disney+, so nothing will really change.

I was able to sign up for this thru the Disney+ website. So when I log in, that's fine. But when I login to the Hulu website using the same username/PW, it does have my info - but only offers me a free trial (or full price subscription option).I guess I'll be accessing all Hulu/Disney+ content using the Disney+ website or app.
It's been that way for a while. Yes, just use the Disney app.

Everyone did it for decades when they paid for cable and it was okay, ask someone to pay for ads for streaming content and we lose our minds lol
Your cable premium channels had ads? Mine was different.

Love all the smart remarks, "Guess you never heard of Cable TV?"
Of course, what they don't tell you is, we also had Tivo/DVR's so get out of here with that "we always paid for commercials, BS."
MAAAAAANN. I miss TIVO. I uswd it with a satellite connection. Still the highest bitrate and cleanest video I have ever got!!

Looks like a pass for me this year. I barely use the service. Movies and series can be watched without ads from other sources. I do this even with the subscription.

Mine was different.

I didn't have the option to pay for an ad free Disney Channel on cable. An argument can be made that streaming channels offering a cheaper ad supported plan and a premium ad free plan is actually an improvement over cable.

Then your 'most people' never had cable or TV through just an antenna because the ad segments are way longer on those than Hulu.
VCR my bro and longer Ads don't bother me, you have time to go do stuff. It's the contstant interruptions that SUCK..

When I had Tivo, it required a subscription.

I guess you never had to watch TV through an antenna or cable because channels like TNT, TBS, TCM, etc. have always had ads in movies. They are annoying but I grew up with ads so they don't really bother me.
That's why the industry loves customers like you. No matter how much cable providers raise the price, you continue to pay to watch more ads.

That one is locked to Amazon Fire devices and won't work any other way. Here's the link to the same price direct from HBO that works on any device

Personally, I pay to watch the programming, not the ads. But the option to have a plan that is cheaper and supported by ads is nice. I pay for the ad free Disney bundle because I watch it enough to justify it. I have the ad supported Netflix because I rarely watch it, and I wouldn't subscribe otherwise. Nobody likes to watch ads, but it's nice to have options.

If you think that streaming platforms are gonna offer everyone ad free subscriptions at the ad supported price (in this case $5 per month), than you are mistaken.

Eliminating ad supported tier plans would likely raise the cost for the ad free plans,(everyone) or put that streamer out of business.

I find this argument funny... "You are paying to watch ads" . Well guess what? You can also pay to NOT WATCH ADS.

so... I signed up for this, but if I try to log into Hulu separately, it only allows me to access the Disney+ Hulu available items, not the full Hulu. Is that correct?
