PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

right! remember when we got tv over the air, it was free but we had to watch ads. Now we pay for the honor of receiving their network, then have to watch ads.

Says this offer is for new subscribers only. Can you cancel and rejoin using this deal?
Apparently returning/existing subscribers needed a plan that expired on the 25th or earlier. If your plan is still active (or is canceled but expires after the 25th), you'd need to sign up using a new account. Typically you need a new email address and maybe a new payment method. For gmail users, it's easy to make a custom email address using the + method ([email protected]), and some credit cards let you create a virtual credit card numbers.

Having issues with paying for it using my Amex. Called Amex already, it's not on their side. Have you experienced something similar?

How to fix this?
So I used another email (Gmail address + trick) and start fresh. This time, I use Paypal and it went through (I know I won't get the $10 from Amex for the first month). Then I tried to switch payment to my Amex BCP for future months, it gave me the same payment processing error. Then I tried and switched to BofA Unlimited Cash Reward Visa and system accepted that. Then I tried and switched to Amex BCP, and this time the system accepted it. I have an active (but paused) Disney+ subscription with the Amex BCP as payment method.

Does anyone know if the Amex BCE promo for $7 credit a month has a minimum purchase requirement?

I currently use this monthly promo and I could have sworn it required at least $9.99 purchase a month, but I re-read the terms and it doesn't state this anywhere. I'm wondering if I sign-up the Disney+/Hulu bundle for $5/month, if it will basically cover the entire amount per month and essentially make this free for me for an entire year.

my account just ended today from the BF promo last year and it allowed me to sign up again for this promotion

not happy its more money but we use the services enough to make it work. I hate ads but for us its not worth the $10 a month to avoid them.

I cancelled on Monday and last year's sub officially ended yesterday. I got the deal using the same login which is great since I have a bunch of stuff on both Disney+ / Hulu Lists!

Just to confirm, with the amex bluecash new no minimum, if we get this $5 deal, we will get back $5 a month?

Thanks.

does the hulu side take a while to activate? D+ was instant. If I go to hulu it wants me to sign up for a plan using the same account I created on D+.

If that was true then why are different tiers of cable plans? The 50+ channel plan was a lot cheaper than the 1000+ channel plan. The delivery wasn't all that different.
You paid for more delivery. It was always paying for access and not content when it came to cable. Cable companies were not using money customers paid to the cable companies to then in turn give to channels that made content. Cable companies were akin to Steam and ITunes as content delivery services. Difference is Steam and ITunes take their fees from the content creators instead of the consumers directly. Cable companies just did it different.

Wasn't in my BCP offers unfortunately. Paramount and others were instead.
Its not an offer, its a feature of the card.

It's part of BCP card benefits ($120/year statement credit for Disney+). Check your card benefits (not offers list) page again.

Hulu with Ads is hard to watch. I opted for the Hulu/Disney bundle without ads for 14.99/mo. With the Amex BCE card credit of $7, it will be $7.99/mo (plus tax).
