PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

Thanks. This is still low enough that the AmEx benefit covers it, my kids will be happy.
Thank you so much for this comment. I've got a AmEx Blue Cash preferred and forgot about the $10/month bill credit for Disney, since I used to get Disney free thru Verizon.

$15 a month for Hulu/Disney ad free is a nice Black Friday special, but I like $5 month even more Big Grin

My separate d+ and hulu subs were ending on December 1st, but I used online chat and asked them to end them immediately. When they asked why I said I was mad that as an existing customer I couldn't get the new/returning customer deal. They understood what I was doing, and cancelled both, and then I was able to immediately re-subscribe with the deal! (well almost immediately...might have to log out and back in, or just wait 5 minutes) It also gave me no issue using my Amex Platinum again.

Is Hulu w/ads and Disney with ads intrusive with long and/or frequent ads? I'm used to Peacock w/ads. I am deciding whether it is worth spending the extra $10/month for ad free for a service I will use on occasion. Thanks.
I've only dealt with Hulu with ads and it was awful...to the point I never watched anything there, despite having Hulu with ads for free through Verizon for YEARS.

Now that I've dumped Verizon, I'm happy to pick up the black friday special on ad free D+/Hulu for $15 month, especially since my Amex Blue Cash Preferred gives me a $10 monthly credit on any Disney sub/bundle.

Don't Verizon customers get the D+/Hulu/ESPN bundle for like $7 a month? Seems like that's a better deal if you have use for ESPN as well. edit: before anyone asks, search "Verizon Hulu" on SD, there was a recent post.
Verizon peeps are paying way more due to their service. Unless you get Verizon unlimited for less than 27 dollars a line. (US Mobile)... amortized over 40 years you are saving $40,000 a line... that's a slick deal IMO. But some people want the freebie and stick with the big 3. No shame in that, giving up $40k is hard to visualize over 30-40 years.

You must be young. They use to have this thing called cable tv. You'd be surprised how many ads you saw. And you had to pay. Crazy I know
For some of us that are REALLY old, cable was touted as a premium service BECAUSE it had no ads.

Two weeks ago I got an offer to return (after canceling last month...just cuz...) for $5/month for three months.

Just signed up using a new email. I guess it's time to setup our profiles...again. $10 down the drain, but our kids love D+

If you are a Boomer (like my Wife & me) , the ads are a feature not a problem. Regularly scheduled bathroom breaks are appreciated.
I like to just wear a diaper, problem solved.

It was commercials like "Ned's Plaque Psoriasis" every 15 minutes during the movies, the television shows were worse, it made the content almost unwatchable. I thought it was a great deal last year but got so frustrated with the commercials, I just cancelled it.
Thanks. I guess I'll pass. Poor Ned. Bro can't catch a break.

Does anyone know if I can pay for this bundle with a Hulu gift card? What I'd like to do is sign up for the first month via Paypal and then add a $25 Hulu gift card to pay for the next 5 months. Would that work or do they not allow gift cards for promotions?
They do … Disney gcs as well
