Please be sure to check it in person before buying it. Best buy open box tags aren't always correct.
I currently see it in West Nyack, NY store for pick up. YMMV.

Good deal. There's one available near me, but I'm going to hold off because I'm looking for a deal on the S95F 77" to replace my S95C 65".

Agree with the checking part. I brought an OB like new TCL 75 in some time back and it was missing the power cable. Not a big deal, but can happen.

I echo the go to the store and look at it first statements
Best Buy open box condition can be all over the place..I have seen excellent that should have been fair..and fair that should have been marked excellent

Also..the in store price is often lower than the price they have online

How do you determine it is not a TV that has been on display for a year? Open Box can be good, but I would not buy a TV that has spent most of its existence "turned on" and set to its brightest settings.

You can open the secret menu to check the panel display time

Unfortunately, you would probably do this after getting it home.

Technically Best buy should not call display models as excellent because it has been used for a long time but I have seen excellent being display models too. The main thing to check if it was display or not is if it has stand and remote missing. If its missing, then its most probably a display.

I agree. While I have bought many things in "open box" condition, I don't think I would buy an open box TV.

I have seen new tv sealed in box as open box. So we can get lucky!

That does make it doable.
