Originally this was supposed to be DLC for the newest Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth game, when that came out. But, they expanded it enough that they decided to charge full price. I feel like if they drop the game to $20 or less, with all of the added dlc included, then it will be worth it. A lot of reviews online call it one of the shortest Yakuza games ever made.

I can't fathom spending even $20 for a game about pirates... Yakuza... In Hawaii. And I play Yakuza games.

I can't even fathom spending anything on this. This feels like meetings I've been in where they just start agreeing with that one guy so they can go to lunch

Yeah, I have no doubt this game is designed by committee. It still might be fun to play just because it's absurd.

I haven't played it, but I've heard mixed things about it. I'm kind of suffering from Yakuza burnout at this point, so I'm not in a rush to get any of the newest titles (including #8)... either way, a waste of using Majima. People wanted a game set after Y0 to see his rise to power and instead we got this.

Actually according to HLTB it's pretty on par with most the Yakuza games, certainly less on 100% it but as far as main story it's pretty close to most of the others. Now The Man Who Erased His Name looks like the shortest, clocking in at only 12 hours

It's 30+ hours easy. I had a lot of fun with it and it was a GREAT pirate game in spirit. I thought I'd get burned out but it was so different from any RGG game before it that it worked well for me.

It is SOO absurd. Lol but it was fun to play. I bought at $25 and I think worth it. The cut away scene that is actual actors and the broadway musical number is hilarious. Yeah. It's super random. lol
