Also correct.. There will be no indication that the 20% is being activated during checkout. That will only show in your PayPal account as "points pending". 100pts = $1.
I have 20390 points pending for this transaction.
Community Reviews
This RTX 5080 OC deal stands out for turning a $949.99 card into roughly the low $800s, or even lower when stacked with extra cashback, making it feel close to half off for eligible buyers. The card itself is described as a strong upgrade with stable overclocking, solid 4K performance, and enough headroom to last several years, with some noting Cyberpunk path tracing and frame generation gains. The main catch is the PayPal promo, which is finicky to activate, limited to one use, and can be blocked by checkout, account, or approval issues. Walmart price drops and cancellations also add some risk, so the savings depend on the payment path working cleanly.
Common Questions (6)
It can work, but Pay in 4 often only appears after clearing Walmart's saved PayPal info, unchecking "remember my PayPal account details," and reopening checkout in a fresh browser or mobile session. If it still does not appear, linked payment methods or PayPal eligibility can block it.
Yes, the deal has been stacked with additional cashback offers and card rewards, with some buyers reporting totals around the low $700s after combining PayPal cashback, another cashback site, and card rewards. The PayPal promo itself is capped at up to $250 back per transaction.
The 5080 is the stronger buy if you want more headroom for 4K, ray tracing, and longer-term use; the 5070 Ti is the cheaper value pick and can land much lower after cashback. The thread repeatedly frames the 5080 as the better long-term card, while the 5070 Ti is the better bargain if you want to save money.
Save the 20% offer in PayPal Rewards first, then check out through Walmart with PayPal and choose Pay in 4. The offer usually does not appear during Walmart checkout; success is confirmed later by pending points in PayPal.
With the $949.99 price and 20% PayPal cashback, the card lands around $800 before any extra cashback or card rewards. Several checkout totals in the thread put the final out-of-pocket cost in the low-to-mid $800s after points are credited.
The cashback depends on the qualifying purchase completing, so a canceled order can void the reward. Walmart also may refuse price adjustments on later drops, forcing a rebuy-and-return instead of a simple adjustment.

Glad you were able to get in on this. Around $800 after cash back for a 5080 is probably as good as it gets for a while without a pricing error.
another 5 years.until the next slickdeals black friday GPU deal. One popped up available late at night after it was showing out of stock so I jumped on it with the Capital One rewards at 15%. Could not get the Paypal offer to work. It was showing in my availability but I kept getting denied the pay in 4 offer. I have a 820 credit score with zero debt and house/car all paid for. Not sure what they are looking for on that approval but I cant imagine why I would not qualify. I have used that payment option a few times over the last couple years without an issue.
Its not shipping immediately so I am not convinced I wont get my order cancelled. It said only one in stock. Really hope it comes, I do not want to pay almost the same for a 5070ti deal I already have coming from Walmart when the deal was OOS.
