This RTX 5080 OC deal stands out for turning a $949.99 card into roughly the low $800s, or even lower when stacked with extra cashback, making it feel close to half off for eligible buyers. The card itself is described as a strong upgrade with stable overclocking, solid 4K performance, and enough headroom to last several years, with some noting Cyberpunk path tracing and frame generation gains. The main catch is the PayPal promo, which is finicky to activate, limited to one use, and can be blocked by checkout, account, or approval issues. Walmart price drops and cancellations also add some risk, so the savings depend on the payment path working cleanly.

I have perfect credit. Tried to buy this. got the following email:

This notice is in response to your recent request for a PayPal Pay in 4 installment loan. Our records show that you requested to open a loan on 11/25/2025.

We regret that we are unable to approve your request at this time for the following reason:

Total balance on your outstanding Pay in 4 loans or the Pay in 4 loan amount you requested is too high.
Thank you for your interest in PayPal Pay in 4.

Sincerely,

PayPal

uhhh okay.
Same here. My wife and I have 835 Equifax scores and it denied both of us. Feels like the world hasn't wanted me to upgrade my GPU the past few years.

Thanks OP & everyone that provided assistance.

Finally got approved for the pay 4 after unfreezing my Equifax account for the day.

Removed Paypal as a payment option in Walmart.

Closed tab and reopened it.

Added video card and chose a different payment option (paypal) and the Pay in 4 option was there.

Placed order.

Should be a good upgrade from my 3080 (which will now go into my Wife's PC.)

My credit is frozen but I see have $1500 credit available for Pay in 4, does that mean I don't have to unfreeze mine before I order?

Were your previous Pay in 4 orders getting canceled or you weren't able to select Pay 4 at all when your credit was frozen?

Does PayPal's site show you have any spending power at all for Pay in 4?

My 1st attempt was denied with the following message.

Unable to access your file on credit bureau due to a freeze.
Unfroze it and resubmitted and got the "Congratulations, you're approved." message.

Edit: The Pay in 4 option did not show up @ Walmart until after I was approved.

Edit 2: Pay later showed ~$2400 available. After spending just over $1K At Walmart, it now shows $1300 available.

Okay so you're referring to applying for Pay in 4 as you were denied before. I assume since the option for Pay in 4 is present at checkout, I'm approved already which is interesting given my credit is frozen and they can't access my history.

See my second edit in my post above yours.

If the Pay in 4 options shows up then it appears you are GTG. When I placed the order, I actually got notification that a $250.00 charge was made by Paypal to my Citi Card. I then placed the order and everything is fine. Kinda weird that the charge showed up when I clicked pay in 4 and before I confirmed the purchase. Hope that makes sense.

Edit: Paypal already shows my points pending.

How long did it take for them to show pending points?

Thanks.
Do you know if this be used in more than one transaction with rewards exceeding $250? I'm seeing people say different things.
Can I buy something thats $1000, which would give me $200 pending cashback. Then if I make another transaction will it cap off my points to only be $50? Or would I get another $200 cashback pending?

Very awesome thank you! I searched my inbox and I also had this Capital One Shopping targeted 30% offer which looks to be combinable with the PayPal 20% offer (see attachments below). Do you think this would be classified as "video game hardware"? If so it won't qualify, but definitely worth a shot and was probably going to order regardless. I think it should take a few days to show up in the Capital One shopping app - did yours show up yet? Here are some screenshots if anyone wants to try and search for this targeting 30% Walmart offer.
First, If you are using pay in 4. Paypal pay for your total amount then you pay Paypal with your credit card, so that means you only pay Paypal, not Walmart. Second, when they states "video game hardware", it's a 90% possibility that they would call a GPU that.😂

No luck but thank you. What's odd is I saw that option on another site the other day. I don't use it but still saw it was there

Edit: seeing it now. That discounted price will NOT be reflected during checkout correct?
It was "points" awarded to paypal account(similar to slickdeal cashback) that you can convert to cash later

They have changed the terms of the promo. It's limited to 1 per account now.
