Is the body plastic or metal? Does anyone know the model number of this?

I'm not 100% on this, but my guess is this laptop (16t-af1017wm) is a Walmart-based sku based on this very similar laptop here [hp.com] (16t-af100).

I bought the one below but no touchscreen and has 512GB SSD for $25 less.

The AMD Ryzen one is NON touchscreen. So if thats important to you, Intel one is better. Plus this one has 1TB NVME SSD vs the other one has only half (512)

Can anyone tell me more about the AI part? Seems like that would make the pc run hotter? Also, does that mean every time you use the PC you are using AI and the environmental impact?

Just one info here, the display is not 120Hz as mentioned in the Walmart product page, which is werong. Omnibook 5 comes with only one 1200p Display and that is a 300 nits 62% sRGB 60Hz display. If you actually see the HP's product brocheures in the Walmart Product page, you'll see that no 120Hz mentioned.

Ands another thing worth mentioning is that Core Ultra 200 series is not Arraow Lake like the H and HX series Processors. It is just a rebranded Meteor Lake and 255U is a essentially a rebranded Core Ultra 7 155U. You can understand that by seeing that the Performance cores have Hyper threading or SMT which has been disabled in Arrow Lake Processors. Similarly the iGPU is also less powerful. Instead of latest Arc 130V or 140V present in Arrow lake, it has the older Arc Graphics, which Intel has renamed as Intel Graphics with 4 Xe Cores.

HP makes 4 classes of OmniBook: OmniBook 3, OmniBook 5 , OmniBook 7, OmniBook X.
They probably try to reduce cost by causing OmniBook 3 and OmniBook 5 user unfriendly with less powerful parts and strange design. For example, the power button of OmniBook 3 and OmniBook 5 are located near the upper right of the keyboard but not at the edge. No idea why they would do that. Some user may accidentally hit the power button while typing.

Disagree. Staples ones were NOT Touchscreen. I physically went to the store and checked out. The store manager also confirmed that the models sold by Staples are non Touch.

I stand corrected. That is the one difference. I am not interested in that feature so overlooked that difference. Everything else appears the same.

Good info. So that leaves the question; can you get the upgraded specs you describe at this price point, or how much more would it cost? Any recommendations?
