You're better off having a dedicated stick and never connecting your tv to the internet.

1080p is more than sufficient for 43 inches.

Sam's Club will have a 40" Vizio QLED 1080p with HDR for $128 for BF. Best Buy has a 40" TCL 1080p QLED (no HDR) right now for $99. edit: QLED are supposed to be better panels.
But do you buy the better panels or a higher resolution at this size lol. Most sources say 4k is recommended for over 50" and I guess the QLED FHD is the way to go for 40"

I got the Vizio 40" QLED with HDR from Sam's Club. I use a 32" and it's very comfortable to watch on already, so this is just an upgrade. I don't want something too big because I like having everything contained in my vision more centrally. This is for my bedroom. It sounds like QLED with HDR is the best quality, you won't notice 4K unless you have the proper distance to the TV. I don't really think anything I watch is in 4k anyway (reality TV, anime).

Yes, good points and that is very true! Most channels provided by a service nowadays will generally be 720p or 1080p/i too (unless you pay more for some 4K channels).

Anyone know if this TV has Bluetooth so I can listen to headphones without waking up the house?

This TV is junk compared to last year's Roku. It only has 2 HDMI inputs now, and the composite A/V input is gone now. The only good news is the TV is now assembled in the USA by Element, according to retail box.
