I was able to get a Red Pocket e-SIM number for $7.78 and successfully ported it in to Metro. Plus Metro total of $165.24. All in with eSIM port-in and Metro is $173.02. Now we wait for it to unlock lol

I got this promotion 2 days ago, I had to call 5 different stores around my area, all them were charging $400 - $500 price out of the door. Only on one I was able to get $300. They asked me for my ID and I had to verify myself with a selfie scanner, just like the website. FYI

The Red Pocket e-SIM is no longer being accepted by Metro 🫠
But to answer your question: redpocket.com

What is the verification process like? Upload photo ID and selfies?
I've done numerous port-ins to Metro, and I have NEVER had to do ID verifications.

A year unlock is a long time. The use case that works for me is to treat this as a spare phone that comes online in a year. Someone in my family will always break their phone at an inopportune time, or benefit from an upgrade to a 16e, which is still newer than most of our phones.
I bought 2 Metro iPhone 13s last year. After the 1 year unlock one son got one to upgrade from his iPhone 11 and the other son to upgrade from iPhone 12 mini.

Seems new, but says it everywhere on the website now for every phone. Anyone done it? What's required?

If you took advantage of a metro deal for a free phone and let the account lapse, how soon after can you buy another phone?

I read before that after 2+ months a lapsed account will be purged from the system, not sure if that is still accurate. Then you should be good to go again. But they seem to do a lot of changes these days.

Boost bought from Amazon at $5. Customer agent may give some hard time to give you port in info.
Can you tell me how you activated the Boost sim from Amazon? Did you actually have to insert the sim into a phone and provide the IMEI number on the Boost website?

Tried to port in and after one attempt failed it's telling me I have to go into the store. What a joke
