I was able to get a Red Pocket e-SIM number for $7.78 and successfully ported it in to Metro. Plus Metro total of $165.24. All in with eSIM port-in and Metro is $173.02. Now we wait for it to unlock lol

I got this promotion 2 days ago, I had to call 5 different stores around my area, all them were charging $400 - $500 price out of the door. Only on one I was able to get $300. They asked me for my ID and I had to verify myself with a selfie scanner, just like the website. FYI

30days unlocked?
365 days to unlock after activation but you don't have to pay for the service after first month and use it as a wifi only device

Tempting to add this as a 3rd line but now that the iphone 17e will be available end of week I hope the 16e drops to...maybe $49?
Yes I also noticed the announcement on their front page that the 17e will become available at Metro on 3/11, it should be interesting to see how it effects the 16e promo price. Best case scenario is it becomes free with 1 month service like the iPhone 13 currently is.

On Reddit I was reading metro now requires 6 months of active service but after reading the policy you can only pay one month and it will unlock after a year

Policies have changed now Metro requires:• 180 days (6 months) of active, paid service on the same line• The phone must remain active on Metro during those 180 days• If the line is suspended, canceled, or not paid, the unlock clock stops
https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy Still says 365 days must have passed. No mention of active paid service.

Still shows 365 days. Maybe you are thinking of another MVNO?

I read somewhere else it's around $250-$270 total, unlocks in 60 days.

3 Month Plan - $195 ($65 per mo)
FULL retail tax of device (5-10%) - $60

Plus whatever else they try and stick on ya.

Almost the same as buying on local marketplace/eBay - metro is the most appealing with price point at $155 but one year unlock policy hurts

I'll bite at the $200 with 60 day unlock
Never been w Metro and never bought an iPhone assoc'd w a provider. Does Metro put junk apps on iphone? I know ATT installs junk apps on android phone but not sure if they install on iphone

You are right! Thanks for finding policy - I couldn't find it and on Reddit was saying it changed recently to 6 months of active service

I just paid $341.19 before tax for an used and unlocked iPhone 16e from eBay. It was an excellent condition with 100% battery health. I was able to get it on iCloud and Xfinity Mobile without any issues. I paid more but I could use it immediately. The seller sent it to me by 2-day FedEx for free.
