I don't have Hulu and I'm an existing annual HBO sub, expiring in April. I was able to get the $2.99 simply by going to my HBO account and seeing the offer there. It will start in April and go for 12 months.
I did exactly the same thing, mine is expiring in April too. Better deal than last year, at least for me.

It's an integrated benefit that to my knowledge, does not require activation. I shifted my Disney+ account to use my Amex BCE card for payments, and it's giving me the credit each month.
It definitely does require activation. It specifically says that. And you have to click it and agree to terms, and then you get a confirmation email that it's activated. As soon as I did it, I got an email with the subject "Your $84 Disney Streaming Credit enrollment confirmation".

"eligible returning customers". I'm not eligible, probably because I bought the one year deal last year at this time. Oh well, I have another email address and can sign up with that one and not renew existing Hulu subscription.
My Hulu/Disney+ expired just yesterday. I was able to sign up for this offer today. I usually swap between two accounts every year. But this year, the current account worked with this deal despite it having expired just yesterday.

Good to know... I must have done that over a year ago, because I don't remember activating it. Unless it now requires activation, and previously did not.

I would appreciate if someone can thumbs up this post if I'm reading this correctly: I can get the Hulu+Disney for $5 plus HBO standalone for $3? And my Amex BCE will forgive $7 monthly?
No. That's not true. You cannot combine the $5 Hulu/Disney+ deal with the $3 HBO add-on deal, because the HBO add-on deal is offered only on non-discounted base bundles. Once you sign-up for the $5 Hulu/Disney+ deal, the HBO add-on is $10. Making it $15 total for Hulu/Disney+/HBO. After the $7 Amex credit, you'll be paying $8 per month out of pocket. Better to get the $5 Hulu/Disney+ deal, and then sign up for the HBO $3 deal separately (directly via HBO). Amex will give back $5 only. But this way you'll be paying only $3 out of pocket per month.

I'd go stand alone because in 2026 Hulu itself goes bye bye and will be a tab in Disney+.
It already is. The $4.99/month Disney+ already has the Hulu tab.

Dumb deal.

Get HBO MAX $2.99 for 12 mo by itself, then get Kroger Boost membership for $4.17 a month which includes either Disney, Hulu, OR ESPN for free for 12 months!!!

I did that and beats this $11.99 Hulu plus $2.99 HBO add on deal.

You're welcome!

you will NOT be able to combine the $5 bundle and the $3 hbo addon to maximize the amex credit.

anyone who has hulu free from t-mobile do you see this if this gets added on as well as an option or won't work as the subscription is through t-mobile
It doesn't work! You simply have to signup another account with bundle of your choice . You could use Amex BCE, BCP , Gold or platinum cards and signup for service . Check the T&C as the credits vary by card type.

Where are you seeing boost for 4.17 a month? My app shows $13/mo
