FYI, but a new Apple TV was supposed to launch soon, at least according to rumors. https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/apple-tv/
This is NOT a recommendation for or against buying one, but rather a heads up just so that no one is surprised IF the new model is released shortly after making a purchase.

All of the things you hate about it are the reason I was happy to pay a premium for it. It's extremely fast for a smart TV box and doesn't have any junk like branded buttons or ads on screen.The only reason I don't have them on all my TVs yet is because of the rumored updated version but that rumor has been going on so long that I might just grab these at this price

Once you understand that you cannot claim those three months if you had claimed them previously with another Apple product, it doesn't.

Sorry I haven't tried that one, really the only apps I use are Youtube, Disney, and Plex. I tried googling and saw other people with the issue but didn't see any fix for it.

Just placed an order just a few minutes ago; looks like I may have got my order in just in the nick of time--I just checked again a few seconds ago and now it's showing OOS.

Perfect timing that this deal became availale--my Apple TV HD (aka Apple TV 4th gen) died not too long ago; what's sad about that is that my Apple TV 3rd gen still works; guess Apple just doesn't make 'em as good as they used to.

No. They did this same crap last year, show it on sale starting at 3am EST, sold out by time I wake up, didn't restock throughout the entire weekend.

Crap? East coast always complaining about things happening late, won't stay for a meeting after hours but has 0 regard for a 5am meeting with west coast. I find it fair to have some things, including deals, favor each coast
