You don't have to buy the silver plan on month 2 to unlock the phone. You just have to have active service for 60 days. They don't even have to be 60 consecutive days.

Also, can buy up to two of these phones and you'll get the silver plan on the second line for $30. You don't even have to buy them both at the same time. I bought one phone to unlock and my account now says I can add a second line for $30. Note that you do have to maintain the silver plan to keep this discount.

pretty sure you can downgrade to bronze $35 plan for the 2nd month all it says is 60 days of paid service for unlocking i see nothing about it needing to be the silver unlimited plan for month 2.

yes the phone and tablet work on wifi after the cellular service expires although i highly recommend just paying for a 2nd month of service for the phone so it can be unlocked for use on another carrier. that convenience is work the $35 extra if u ask me

by the way, I could not activate the tablet line yet as it asks for the imei and I wont have it until i get the tablet. seems the phone imei populated without me inputting it. Do I really need to activate the tablet lane? I do not really need it, but will work for 60 days if I do. People were saying the tablet comes unlocked.

Phones are linked to imei so that's normal. Don't have the tablet since they're out of stock but you should get instructions when you get your order, should be early next week.

Thank you. Just chatted with them. The day of activation counts as day 1, and counting the number of days, the due date (27th in my case) will be the 30th day service. now, the 27th is the renewal day but service is active until 11.59PM. Should I renew it on the 27th or the 28th? If the plan starts on the 28th of December, then 30days of service would be January 26th. I want to get my 60days of active service to unlock the phone and move on just about like everyone else here.

people seem to say that the walmart plan wont activate on the phone as that is some sort of bringyourown device plan. trying to get the cheapest plan for the second month so any insight helps.

U need to read the details, the $25 plan is BYOP, the $35 is standard plan (it's what I used to add an additional month to my iPhone 16e which unlocked as expected).

The only "policy manager" that is also "free [...] from Google" seems to be Android Device Policy which is for enterprises, and doesn't sound like what you're referencing. Digital wellbeing doesn't work on Verizon App Manager which seems to be what's installing the bloatware.
