Sonos Roam 2 stands out as a compact, waterproof portable speaker that works well for showers and travel, with wireless charging and easy Wi Fi authorization for hotels or Airbnbs. The sound gets praise for clear bass, treble, and mids, and the PayPal 20 percent back offer can soften the price. The main knocks are weak battery life, occasional sync issues with a soundbar, and the fact that it is not supported as official surrounds in Sonos software. It is a handy pick if portability matters more than surround duty.
The Roam can be used as a waterproof shower speaker with voice control playback.
The Roam can be charged on a wireless charging pad for convenient portable use.
The Roam can be authorized for Wi‑Fi while traveling without needing phone fiddling.
The Roam has reportedly worked reliably in the shower for over two years.
The Roam cannot be used as surrounds through official Sonos software, with surround use requiring third-party workarounds.
The Roam has reportedly been hit-or-miss syncing with a Sonos soundbar and can die quickly.
PayPal Pay in 4 reportedly did not appear during checkout, leaving the price unchanged.
Sonos updates have reportedly caused older hardware to become unusable, which discourages some buyers.

Sonos. Step up and drop the price on the five. That's the last great Sonos product in my opinion.
