This 5 gallon gas can is mainly valued as a cheap way to store and pour fuel, especially when similar cans have been hard to find under $20. The supplied nozzle is the biggest drawback, with reports that it is awkward, slow, and can leak if used often. Still, the can itself is described as serviceable, and replacement spouts or pump setups can make it work much better. It is a practical budget pick if you can live with the safety nozzle setup.
Replacement spouts and nozzle-cap gaskets are available, which can help restore sealing performance over time.
The 5-gallon size can support faster fuel transfer for car filling and snowblower refueling when paired with a pump or siphon method.
The included nozzle can work surprisingly well compared with other options, even though it may still leak with frequent use.
The can can empty much faster with a recommended spout replacement, cutting pour time versus the supplied nozzle.
The supplied nozzle can be annoying and may leak if used frequently.
The can may not seal well around the nozzle, which can lead to leaking gas or fumes.
The can's design can be restrictive, and some users recommend disassembling the nozzle assembly and replacing the o-ring to prevent leaks.
The nozzle can be painful or impractical for filling small power equipment, making a smaller can or different nozzle style preferable.
