This may be compelling to anyone that is looking for premium CoPilot features. Rather than get Microsoft 365 Family for 99.99, you can get this for the same price for the first year.
Quote :
- Highest usage limits for select Copilot features1
- Access to Copilot features currently exclusive to Premium1
- Image and video editing tools
I'm considering getting this even over the Newegg deals and Antonline deals for $70-$90 for the Family subscription. Effectively get to try out CoPilot premium for a year for $20.

Stacks with PayPal offers 15% back, essentially making it $85. There's also a possibility of $10 cash back from PayPal for $75 more purchases. If you qualify, it would make it even more slick at $75.
That's what I'm hoping for. Still 7 months left on my sub but went for it though don't use copilot lately (perplexity) but might switch back.

My Family 365 Sub expires Feb of 2030. I just get this error: Sorry, something went wrong

I think there was a 5 year stacking max; I wonder if you are hitting the error as another year can not be fully stacked?

I am getting similar message when I click on 1 month offer, my M365 is valid till 1/9/2029

What happens to my current subscription?
So you can start using Microsoft 365 Premium straight away, your subscription will change from Microsoft 365 Family to Microsoft 365 Premium immediately after purchase. Your new renewal date will be Wednesday, February 7, 2029.

Any remaining time on your Microsoft 365 Family subscription will be prorated towards your new Microsoft 365 Premium subscription and may result in less time being added than you currently have remaining. Learn more about how this works.

The changes to the existing subscription are final and non-refundable.
Microsoft 365 Premium benefits
For one to six people
Sign into five devices at once
Use on PCs, Macs, phones & tablets
Up to 6 TB secure cloud storage (1 TB per person)
Productivity apps with Microsoft Copilot*
Highest usage limits for select Copilot features*
Access to Copilot features currently exclusive to Premium*

I did not follow through, not sure what to make out of second sentence "Any remaining time on your Microsoft 365 Family subscription will be prorated towards your new Microsoft 365 Premium subscription and may result in less time being added than you currently have remaining. Learn more about how this works."

I already have a microsoft 365 family subscription that expires 06/2027. added the one-year premium $99, now I have microsoft 365 premium showing "next charge on 6/x/2028, $199.99 plus applicable tax". it is also consistent with microsoft's help page that shows to convert family plan to premium plan, remaining family plan value will be credited to premium plan at 100% value. still this is strange, one can buy family plan, stack 4 or 5 years max of it, then adding one year of premium plan will convert the existing family plan of the entire rest duration to premium as well as extending one year. too good to be true. Maybe it is intended (encourage current family plan subscribers to convert, just did not account for these who already have multiple years). looks like a super cool deal, securing AI functions for next 3 years for just $99.

DEALS aside -- What will happen if President sign an executive order to ban all subscriptions - Overnight SaaS market will crash 70% !! , quite possible with recent trends - SaaS subscriptions have proliferated across various sectors including farming, kitchen appliances, and office equipment. These pervasive service models represent an extreme form of capitalism that consolidates corporate power and fundamentally alters the consumer relationship, despite initial motivations such as ease of use and instant gratification.

MS 365 has a limit of 5 years for prepaid subscription. If you buy the 1 year of MS 365 Premium, that would extend your subscription to Feb 2031 (which is more than 5 years from now). Just buy the one month of MS 365 Premium for $9.99. That will extend your subscription to March 2030 and it will convert your Family 365 to the Premium for the duration of your Family 365 subscription (exp March 2030).

So did you follow through? What is your new renewal date after switching to Premium?
I haven't yet. I am trying to coerce the paypal offers algo to give me the 15%, but it is being stubborn. May do it tomorrow with a newegg deal for Family plan stacked to get me 2 years. Beyond that is too much for me to trust that CoPilot will be worth using over the stiff competition.

ok so i already have the M365 Family plan and will not expire until 03/22/2030. Below is the screen/text after I clicked the upgrade link (to confirm what will happen and change).. Am I reading this correctly, for $10 it will upgrade my entire plan to Premium and push the renewal to 11/26/30?? The AI copilot for just the owner is pretty $hitty if you as me... but hey it may be worth it.

Ok so here is the updated on the payment side. Its actually $99.99 being charged but NEW expiration date is 03/22/2031. So it gave me about 5 more months, its still $100. But since i had stacked up discounted family M365 plans... this is a no brainer. So $100 for the next 5+ years of copilot for me!! I believe with all the other M365 deals, they will stack on this too, once months start going by. Also using my citi to get 20% back as well. So roughly $80.

I thought of the 5 year thing too. I always wait until Feb to add the next year (I'm down to my last card). I'll try the monthly thing again, but it gave me the same error last night.
