At least for me, the coupon does not show the discount in the cart but does during check out.

add both the easy button and the pens or folder to your cart, go to the final checkout screen and you'll see the discount, then pay, don't pay if you don't see the discount. this is for STORE PICK UP, not shipping as shipping cost will apply to a $1 order.

I did as well, given I have 5,000 pens laying around. But $1.49 for a dozen is a good price and some may want to get something useful for $1.49 versus a toss in the garbage folder for 79c.

Up to the individual. Can also use $1 in rewards towards the pens, versus nothing towards the 79c. so really only 49c oop if you do the pens with rewards payment.

The $1.49 pens did not work for this for me. Added the coupon code and it says
"32205: Free Staples Easy Button with any purchase.Promotion not applied: Item(s) that qualifies is not in your cart. Add the qualifying product(s) and try again."
Oh well, saved me from pens and junk I don't need anyway. šŸ™ƒ

I had some other stuff I was going to order anyway, so I added the easy button and entered the 32205 coupon code, got over $35 in stuff also paid everything but 35 cents with rewards - easy button was still free and so was shipping.

Ah, the problem was that I assumed the coupon code would add the easy button to the cart but it has to be manually added. I see that in the original post it says add the button, but that link just goes to the pens again. Once I searched for and added the button manually, the coupon code made it free.
