Nice deal if you're not doing 4K and it'll usually outperform an RTX 5060.

GPUs are crazy expensive today. If this is what's in your budget, there's nothing wrong with it.

I wouldn't buy an 8GB GPU in 2025.

I've been looking at the 8GB variant for my kid. This is the going price, not a deal.

This. I think a lot of the negative commentary on 8GB misses the point: there is nothing better anywhere close to this price range. And for right now at least, the difference between this and the 16GB version at 1080p is a tiny most of the time.

If it's on a card that isn't going to do more than 1080P it will be fine.

Nobody buying a 16gb variant is playing games at 1080 so it is an irrelevant point. 8gb can and will run out of vram in a shockingly large number of games even at 1080p, so when "most of the time" isnt this time you will have a micro stuttering mess at half the fps. Having to sacrifice an already mediocre resolution by 2025 standards is wild.

These cards are beginners traps, pure and simple.

running out of vram is not true, I've watched dozens of youtube reviews with 8gb cards and 16gb cards. Watch and learn for yourself.

Be willfully ignorant all you want, I am not the one going to be pissed when I cant run my new garbo AAA game at 1080 ultra 6 months from now. Others here have said the same, this isnt up for debate. Its cool if you dont understand how things work, but dont act like you do.
