As far as I know, Nothing. Just a rebranded Fire TV 4K so it will distinct itself from the 4K Select (1st gen) model that was just recently released.
4K Max - top tier
4K Plus - mid tier
4K Select - lower budget tier
FireTV HD version - base tier

Get the Onn 4k plus from Walmart. Great hardware and you can sideload all you want.

Long time user of Fire TV. Have almost all my TVs hooked up with this. Ordered the Apple TV 128GB for $99 from a recent sale. I did not what I was missing until I started using Apple TV. Good Luck using Fire TV.
