180 (before fees and taxes) *12 = 2160 for one year
Now, 2160 * 4 = 8640
Over 4 years, without taxes and fees, it is 8640.
Add state and other junk taxes to the total, it is a cool $10k over 3 years you have coughed out as a family 😆😆😆

It's always the larger picture that users do not take into account or aren't allowed to, when they dangle the shiny phones in front of you.

Even worse than that? When you "upgrade" every year or are given a 'deal' to stay with them after a year. That's how they become $$$$$ dollar companies. You become a perennial cash cow for these providers. They depend on your "it's too much to switch" or "they're good to me".

Your best bet is to stick to anything without contract or long term pricing. Yes, upfront it hurts, but the installment black hole will wring you dry. Doesn't matter who you go with.

2160 * 3 = 6480 for 3 years of service. But 4 new phones 1200 * 4 = 4800 already + bonus $200 gc

So $6480 / 4 = $1,620.00, subtract the $1200 value of the phone and you just got 3 years service for $420... $140 / year... $11.66 / month for unlimited. Plus fees sure but I don't see the downside here.

The pro max version was a cyber Monday deal. I don't think you can get that. Maybe try asking the chat agent.
Ok. Thanks.

Do you have to port your number when you get the phones or can you do it later? I want to wait until the end of the month to port my numbers, but I don't know how long the deal will last.

Does anyone have the text of the $300 gift card terms? Is it limited to "one per account", "one per order" or is it "one per line"?

Its new line of service. No port in requirement. So you could port a number later on the number given by VZW. imo chat and ask.

an agent looked at my account and asked if i had recently gotten a promo with gc's. I said yes and then she comes back when I was trying to add a new line saying i can only have one gift card per account? First time hearing this.

I would say this language is most reasonably interpreted as one $300 Verizon e‑Gift Card per eligible new smartphone line, not strictly one per overall order. It is ambiguous, I must say, which I'm sure is intentional. Most will be under the impression that it's $300 per line, only to be surprised that it's actually one per order; a typical case of overpromising and underdelivering by corporate America.

Unfortunately you forgot about the taxes and fees, which are gonna be steep. Add those in and it's not so great a deal, especially when you consider that you're getting deprioritized data on unlimited welcome. Of course, if you legitimately were going to buy 4x1200 phones, it's not that terrible of a deal, and if you eventually move to t mobile and let them pay off $800/phone of your balance, it might end up being a fair deal.
but there is no way to get away from taxes

This is deal is for Unlimited Plus. I don't think the data is deprioritized.

Not sure we'll ever go back to Verizon. 36 months is a full year beyond most other providers' contracts. You pay a premium for a service that is on par with less expensive competitors and if you leave/upgrade early, you get hit with the balance of what you owe on all of your devices.
This is the same with all major cell phone providers. I'm on ATT and it's identical.
