All mediatek devices are bootloader locked
For 1.5 years I have been saying... the slowest you should go is a G99 CPU. Per Notebookcheck...
Average Benchmarks Mediatek Helio G99 → 100% n=14
Average Benchmarks Mediatek Dimensity 6400 → 95% n=14
So this CPU is not as fast as a G99. But almost their. Everything else looks good. Personally I am not a fan of Samsung and with the AppCloud scandal I would stay away.
90hz is only OK, pen included is GOOD. Screen is GOOD. Note that this is a 12.1" tablet (IMHO... it is too big but most people want big???).
This is a NEW model that has a WEAK CPU and a decent screen with 8GB of RAM (so it should be smooth enough). Lenovo rates this tablet as a budget friendly option... but to me it means... their weakest tablet for 2025/2026.
For the price, I think this is a pretty good deal.
At the same time.... please realize that this tablet is faster and costs $72.00... (not much faster but faster)

And yes... it runs Android 13 and no more updates BUT it is still faster. And having Android 13 vs 15 and having zero bloatware... I bet this is about 8-9% faster.

I feel like you have posted this same information in the past and I didn't believe you. I thought having 8gigs of ram would make the tablet fast but you are correct. The processor is the bottleneck in these tablets. Believe this guy! ☝️. I didn't believe him in the past and I learned my lesson.

I think the bigger screen and newer processor are worth the extra money if that's what you're looking for. I'll have better real world data after Christmas. One thing to be aware about is that this tablet is super new and very few cases(especially kid ones) are available. I had to order one with bumpers from Ali
This level of tablet is intended for light use. Like youtube, writing, art etc. Its not meant to run games or other intensive apps.

Office apps inc MS Office, Zoom, OneNote - no issues
Streaming inc Netflix, Peacock, HBO, Hulu, Disney no issues
Many games no issues. But where's you will see problems in on some 3D games. Does it run Roblox and Minecraft, yup. Fortnite CoD and PubG with appropriate settings but not max
This tablet screen size is great and this is the lowest this tablet has ever been. And almost all tablet reviewers praise its value at normal price. Buy this tablet IF you are looking for a larger than normal screen size. For work, it rocks! For watching YouTube while you work
ok and please know that not one of these really cheap Chinese tablets comes with 2 OS update guarantees and 4 yrs of updates. For a kid, maybe. For yourself, get a big, nice screen and awesome sound (this has Atmos (esp good for folks w Apple Music)).
