This is a great deal however I had to return mine a few weeks ago. WiFi and Bluetooth issue due to mediatek chip, not swappable either as it's soldered to mb. I guess you could just use a WiFi dongle but I didn't want that.

I have the Gen 4 of this laptop with the same OLED screen and the battery life is not very good. Need to be careful to keep your brightness lower and I actually reduce CPU speed to like 50% max since I am only using a fraction of this computer's power for what I do.

ThinkPads are business oriented, good durability and easy to service relative to consumer laptops. On paper the specs are solid but no GPU for gaming, video editing, nor modeling if that's the use case.
The thing that drives me nuts is the button on the bottom left is fn (function) and not ctrl. Sure you can remap it, but it's not the same.

Do wifi and bluetooth not work or they keep dropping connections? How would a wifi dongle help? I have this in the cart and was about to check-out, now thinking twice if i should get it.

Any thoughts on this one vs this:
https://slickdeals.net/f/18882055

Does it mostly come down to a little more power here vs a little more portability with the other?

They both seem similarly priced and discounted.

Thanks OP.
I bought the low power screen one (14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) for $969. I was worried about battery life on the OLED one. I was tempted to buy the one you posted, but finally purchased this one: Part number: 21QL001WUS
For people worried about battery: there is an other option: 21QL001WUS

I have this kind of model for slightly more than 2 years now and very happy with it. The only downside is that battery doesn't last too long and also degrades pretty quickly - Vantage shows full charge capacity 40Wh when original capacity was 52Wh. Quarter of battery capacity is lost after 2 years but tool shows that battery is in great condition :-\ Going to submit a warranty claim on that

Really hate that Lenovo puts such tiny batteries in laptops of this size.

I don't know why Lenovo refuses to put the higher capacity batteries in this model. It's the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on these p14s deals the past few months

This is really loaded for this price. I am using a 2016 ThinkPad, but yes, battery life is a significant issue. If someone can vouch for this, it can give at least 5-6 hours of battery life on a full charge?

That model has 32GB RAM vs 64GB in the OP's posting. Still plenty for most people but just pointing this out.
