I got it just before I did a 4,000 mile road trip this summer and it worked perfectly for me.
I clamped it between the passenger seat and the area under the dash (under the radio) and was able to angle the phone towards the driver's seat just how I wanted it.
This is a better deal than when I got it then ($7.50ish) and I just ordered a spare.
