That's how percentages work when companies are trying to steal money from you. They are applying the 5% after the 30% discount has been applied. So you are getting 5% off $1431.50…not 5% off $2045.00. Don't spend $1,500 on a chair.

Their warranty is kick ass and is an actual worth while warranty. That's the only reason I can justify the price. I got a fully loaded Aeron for about 1K a couple of years ago and accidentally broke part of it. I had an entirely new chair sent out as a warranty replacement free of charge. HM also ships them fully assembled.

Over the years I accumulated alot of money in my HSA account. I was able to use HSA funds to purchase a HM Embody last year and have no regrets. Just had to get a doctor's note confirming I have backpain, but that was easy.

It's money they paid into their account. HSAs are ridiculously bureaucratic (IMO damn near immoral) scheme cooked up by the uniparty neo-libs and neo-cons, of a couple decades past, to helps line the pockets of the medical services, medical equipment, and banking industries and framing it to the consumer that you're getting more choice, which is just a dog whistle against a single payer system or even price controls.

I applaud the poster that was able to get an awesome chair. Funny thing is, if you or someone you know has back issues, that ~$1.5k+ chair will very likely avoid far more in pay outs to providers over a few years of care. I personally have probably had close to $4k in provider pay-outs for care/rehab for two degenerated discs in my lower lumbar, which I can say with near certainty was caused by the combination of being over 6' and always going for the $80 Office Max special in my 20s and early 30s. When/if I need surgery, oh hell, we're easily rocketing past the five figure mark.

Sorry to get preachy up here in my soap box, but god damn, we're so cooked. Americans always, as a collective, look at how the individual is "gaming" the system and ruining it for everyone else, but rarely looking past that to see who's committing far more egregious actions against society to further line their already overflowing pockets.
HSA is introduced by the republican party and signed into law by Republican President George W. Bush.

great for the price but I would consider the steelcase gesture in place of this for comfort and build quality.
I bought an Embody gaming for my home office. I have a steelcase gesture at work. I find the gesture more comfortable but they are both great chairs that come down to personal preference. For instance, the gesture tilts you forward slightly. I happen to like it, but I could see how some wouldn't. Then on the embody, the arm repositioning mechanism moving them in and out feels cheap to me.

I've been a dedicated user of Herman Miller chairs for the past 20 years. I've owned and used all of their upper-tier office chairs and their various iterations over the years. I've had two Embody chairs and they're by far my least favorite HM chair. The adjustments on the Embody are janky and less dialed-in than those on other chairs in its class. It's also not nearly as durable as the Aeron or the Mirra 1 or 2 and the backrest is oddly shaped for an adult male. I'm not an overly large person at 6'1" with an athletic build and the Embody's backrest sits between your shoulder blades. It's an odd fit.

The Embody looks great but its styling is where the chair peaks.. it falls short in other, more important areas. With Herman Miller's recent massive price hikes, if you're set on an HM chair, you're much better off getting an Aeron or a Mirra 2. Regarding my durability comment, I believe this gaming version of the Embody is supposed to have more durable seat fabric and armrest material but don't quote me on that.

I've seen many chairs from this brand on FB marketplace over the past couple years for $200 to $300 used. I think from some office buildings clearing out furniture.

How much did you end up paying for your omni if you don't mind me asking?
