Jesus. No, none of these things will happen. All gaming companies have increased prices on games and hardware. Nintendo increased the price even on the old Switch and hasn't done so for the Switch 2 yet only to not harm its momentum, but the price could go up in 2026. If you really want to buy, you are probably not going to find a better deal than this (or the Paypal one).

The deal worked for me at approximately midnight eastern. I want to add that you can join Sam's club for 20 dollars with the teacher discount (there are other type of discounts for military, student etc.)

It did take about 4 tries to check out when trying to order the switch 2, kept giving me an error and I was getting a bit worried. Eventually worked though.

It's more likely that the price will go UP in 2026 because of the predicted acute memory chip shortage. IT manufacturers are already warning about this.
