Does this look like a slick deal? It's just missing the nipple trackpoint, but otherwise looks like a good Thinkpad at a good price.

Also, should we be expecting the laptops to get even more expensive next year? Who knows, someone check their crystal ball please.

I ordered two for the office earlier today. This 15 inch version hasn't been at this price at all. The 14 inch lower red screen is often sold at this price at cdw (lower red, better battery life).

Probably better build quality/keyboard and slightly larger battery (80 vs 70wH) but this one also has a hump on the bottom. We got the slim 7i and are very happy with the seamless exterior rather than having the hump like this one but its personal preference, you could order both and pick between them.
