Enabling 2FA and using a security key are great protections for logging into your account.
But they require the vendor to implement them securely and they don't protect your account from a data breach at the vendor. That goes for 1Password, too.
What sets 1Password apart from all other password managers is the use of the Secret Key that's generated when you create your account.
It's required when accessing your vault from a new device because it's required to unlock your vault.
So even if 1Password has a data breach or your master password is super weak, the Secret Key is mixed with your password in order to be able to decrypt your vault, and no one is getting around that.
That's why you go with 1Password over Bitwarden, Apple, or any of the others, paid or free.

Second of all -- you should be using some form of 2FA for every account that has it.
And for the accounts that don't have 2FA -- I don't think Korth Norea gives a rat's tookus about my Kohls account!
