Platinum Elite is Travelpro's highest tier luggage line, and this price is currently cheaper than their mid tier Crew line. The price might be the cheapest, if not the cheapest, it's gotten for their Platinum Elite carry on spinners. The Navy colorway was also on sale at this price point the past few weeks before it went OOS.

Note that:
- They don't let you stack these deals ("Hot Deals") with any coupons.
- The height & width are 0.5 inches extra than the typically accepted carry-on dimensions (dimensions below), but the difference is small enough that it shouldn't be an issue.
- They also have non "Business Plus" models of the Platinum Elite carry on line, but the overall dimensions are bigger & is riskier for international flights where carry-on dimensions are more restricted.

I've had this luggage for 3 or 4 years now and I'm a huge fan of it. I originally got it because wirecutter recommended it. It fits in the overhead of all domestic flights. It's held up well without even much of a scratch outside of it. I really like how the wheels have magnets in them so that the wheels glide in the same direction. I do wish that the external USB port was USB C instead of the old USB A.
