"Fuel capacity: 1 gallon" on the Lowe's site Smilie

It was very hard to confirm that this was a corded edger, it was like they avoided saying it. Probably the only appliance where a cord is truly a big PITA. However, cordless edgers really eat through batteries quickly, so maybe it's a great idea. Just be super careful of not nicking the cord. Unlike a corded mower, these are not very forgiving of mistakes.

I agree its vague. The description says corded though:
"conveniently store the corded edger using the integrated VERSATRACKā„¢ hook with..."

$39 for a corded edger is slicker than a greased up banana on ice

Hmm, tempting. Not sure the battery will last long though. I have other electric items that work fine like a blower, lawn mower and trimmer. Might pull the trigger for this as I wanted to edge a little cleaner.

these look like some decent alternatives if you don't want a corded edger and can afford the $99 price:

Love my Greenworks 80v cordless. So quick and easy, I edge after every now now.

Does your outlet run on a battery? This is corded, brother.

That said, meh, a string trimmer works well enough to edge, maybe not as convenient but better than having another specialty tool taking up space imo.

i have a black and decker edger. I have to sharpen the hell out of the blade to get it to edge decently. I can make a much quicker line with my string trimmer.

I find this tool useful at the beginning of the season to get a good edge and then use a string trimmer after that. Imo, if you have the space it's a good tool for occasional use, but a pain to lug out and plug in every week

I bought one because I think a $40 tool used twice a year is decent. Don't forget it also does trench ing useful for gardens
