Amazon typically posts a link to open box/return sales on www.amazonwarehouse.com or www.amazon.com/resale. You'll notice that the Amazon Resale landing page is also a node. That's simply how Amazon categorizes things internally. This link contains a node that corresponds to the sale, and if they run several smaller sales at the same time, they'll use similarly numbered nodes.

This time, the link for the 30% sale used the node 213837807011. It was easy enough to work backward. 10% was 3011, 15% was 4011, 20% was 5011, and 25% was theoretically 6011 (though it was never activated). All of those nodes have been deactivated.

phoinix noticed that discounts were showing up on node 6011 and assumed it had been activated. However, that's not what's actually happening. Instead, there are five new nodes, each with its own items. The new nodes also contain items not found in node 6011. It's a coincidence that all the items in node 6011 are also in the new nodes.

The problem is that we don't have access to those nodes. The current link on the Amazon Resale page is wrong. It contains a bad keyword and the currently inactive node from earlier (7011). I believe you could retrieve all of the nodes for an item with an appropriate API call, but I don't have that access, and I don't know anyone who does. Because of how Amazon handles things, you can view the promotion but not the items. It also doesn't expose the nodes associated with the promotion or the item.

In short, we're stuck. We know that over 1,000 items have a 30% discount and can be listed and searched, but we lack the required node value to do this.

These deals are so bad, I'm almost offended they were posted as a "deal" and wasted my time lmao (no i still appreciate it Phoinix). So many things that are marked up from what they were previously during the 30% run in October and only given the 15% or 20% off treatment. The fact Amazon can has the audacity to promote even worse deals on the supposed "day of saving" tells a lot about our current state of enshittified affairs...

Here's what I do during these deals. First I pinpoint the items I'm looking for... for example today I was looking for an air fryer. Then I go to www.amazon.com/resale and I search, very simply... "air fryer." Then I look at all the available listings and eventually find one with the discount that I'm willing to try out. Once it's delivered, if it's not as decribed or defective I can always return within 30 days. In my experience 90% of Amazon Resale items are as described.

This was 30% the past few weeks, but an extra 25% is better than nothing.

Do you have the correct nodes for the current AWH sales? These nodes have expired:

10%: 213837803011
15%: 213837804011
20%: 213837805011
25%: 213837806011 (never activated)
30%: 213837807011

There is some overlap with the current sales, but 6011 is actually incorrect (and was never active in the first place).

They activated 6011 and it seems that this is an assortment of different discounts now

No, 6011 significantly overlaps with the new set of discounts. However, each new discount has a unique node and its own collection of items.

Here is an example of a 30% off item that is not included: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFLSH...7EE7U53NWQ

Yep Last year it was 35% off around this time:

That's right, I almost forgot it was 35% last year! The 30+% "deals" this year were just super cherry picked to even call it a normal resale deal. And even then, these still doesn't beat the awesome 40% off that was a yearly thing to look forward too. Sigh.

Would you guys mind expanding on the concept of the discount 'nodes' and how do you initially find them?

Interestingly old deactivated nodes do not have any items on sale, only 6011 has. So for now this node at least provides some way to search discounted items.
