I bought this 2 years ago and it's the only tool that I have never used. A good 1/4" and 3/8" stubby goes a long way better than this in every situation I have been in, trying to get something out of a tight space.

The 1/4" went up to $33 all of a sudden but the 3/8" is the posted price.

SK's 1/4" is on sale though $16.

His point is that the gimbal is a lot more worthless than you think, and a regular thumb ratchet will almost never be used either but is better. These have cheap plastic internals. They are just garbage level tools sold under many brand names.

Agreed. The best that I have found is the SK 49270. I just bought a used one off eBay in perfect condition. People buy them and rarely use them.

If it's 3/8 you aren't going to be able to fit it where it needs to go.

I was about to comment that I see no real use case for this but it appears others have already beat me to it.

That's probably the best value proposition. Do I think those are built as well as the Made in America SK? Not a chance. And, they don't have rebuild kits like the SK.
But, if someone buys the HF set, and they invest the savings in an index fund, then they will probably come out far ahead by the time they wear out the HF set.
I bought the SK, and it is really nice, but I'd probably try the HF set at that price. These are very rarely used tools. There are very few places these are batter than a small 1/4" ratchet. I'd try them if I was you.

Only tool that could reach the fasteners for the headlight in a 99 Camaro. Worth its weight in gold.
