These are racing/marathon running shoes. Don't buy these as your daily trainer

My only takeaway from this thread is that you shouldn't get your running advice from a couponing site.
This is a great deal though.

LOL. This shoe was designed with marathon running in mind.
I would actually argue that the person you were replying to is correct. They shortened the stack height in the recent models to make them lighter versus the original one.I believe Nike intends the Alphafly to be their premier Marathon shoe or as the vapor takes over the 5K through half in their lineup. Having had both of these, that also mirrors, my experience where the most recent vapor is not something I would personally choose to run a full marathon in over the alpha

However, this is not recommended for marathon racing as the stack height is low, not enough . It's OK for Half marathon or shorter distances.
Thank you for letting me know

Even so, they're useful only if your average pace is 6m/mi or faster. If you're a slower runner like me, they will hurt more than help.

Absolutely terrible take. You can benefit from the PEBA superfoam even at 6:00/mi+ paces. You absolutely do not need to be running 2:37 marathons to benefit from these.

I've had an absolute joy running in supershoes at sub 7:15/mi paces for 10k - half marathon races, and they are noticeably faster than both shoes with PEBA foams and no plate (Evo SL) and non-PEBA shoes with plate (Zoom Fly 6)

You would have been better off taking running advice from Stephen Hawking than some of the replies on here. Y'all, do your research, try shoes on and get what works for you. Getting a more expensive advanced shoe isn't for everyone but there are many benefits for plated shoes like these.
