People mention build quality but I don't really understand what that means? Some people say they have gotten multiple defective legions in a row as well.

However, If gaming is your primary use case you would want the RTX 5070 for more fps. There are a small handful of games that will utilize more than 16GB system ram (large open world games w/ RTX maxed out; Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077, Microsoft Flight Sim, etc) but if you know you are going to play those at max settings I don't think either of these laptops are what you should be looking at. I'd personally be looking for a 5070 Ti laptop as a starting point for that caliber of laptop gaming.
