Keep the Legion 5i assuming it's oled etc. Legion build quality is also a lot higher than a TUF line is.

From experience, don't get a Asus TUF laptop, they have bad hinge and screen support. Mine and multiple people on here have broken screens and covers. It's plastic holding the screen and cover.

I went with the predator, get a ton of extra stuff with $250 extra including oled screen, ultra 9 processor and probably the biggest improvement the 5070 ti

8gb gpu in 2026 coming for gaming? 100% yes for older game titles. for newer ones get the acer predator with a 5070ti 12gb gpu or higher. small price increase.

Asus tuf isn't known for having the best build quality. There's a Lenovo legion with 5070 for same price. Id suggest that one

Since you bring it up, while I have an Asus RTX 3060Ti that is OK and an Asus X570-E motherboard that's on-par with expectation, the TUF VG27AQ monitor from them I had for only 3.5 years and treated well just died (black screen, won't power on) and according to similar Amazon reviews - I'm not the only one. Based on my experience, I would be weary about the screen on this.
