This is a good deal. I bought a few of these for our living room and kitchen last spring at $38 a piece (different generic brand, but same thing). We have large south facing windows and during the summer our unit just can't keep up (despite multiple HVAC tech visits saying there was nothing wrong). The airflow was always too weak and on 100+ temp days, the coolest it would get was 75/76, even though it was set at 72. These worked perfectly and kept our rooms at temp.

Isn't Biowind just another name for a fart?

All farts are biowinds. Not all biowinds are farts.

Good option if you have a room that doesn't get enough airflow. Wish I had this as a kid.

Maybe ceiling vents are more common in your ghetto, but these are more common where I live.

In cold climates almost all vents are in the floor or low on the wall.

99.9% of the 6 homes I've ever owned, have never had ceiling vents.
So shockingly enough, I think people might actually have different HVAC configurations in different parts of the country or world.

Thanks for this. Yea, I have ceiling vents, so basically this is only if you have a wall vent?

Not true. I'm in a cold climate, and all my vents are in the ceiling. Really depends on the design of your home.

Heat rises, cold air falls. It's not at all as simple as that, but in old school forced air HVAC terms it's gospel.

Took me a bit to understand that these replace your existing vents and act as HVAC suckers to draw more of the heat/cooling through the vent. I could see a use for these, but yeah, not easy to power.

It works in ceiling vents, I have two different branded ones in ceiling vents, held up with screws. Have them on a smart plug each that is connected to my smarthome and kicks on when heat kicks on or ac kicks on,and off when the furnace turns off.

I'd avoid this. A fan in the register isn't going to fix airflow issues from poor ductwork. You're better off to bite the bullet and get a tech out to fix the underlying issue -- a leaky duct or insufficiently sized run.

As long as you have an AC outlet 12ft away or less, and your HVAC vent is 4"x10", something like this is as simple as lifting your vent cover off the floor, replacing it with this, and plugging this into an AC outlet.

You're not wrong about this, but you could buy four of these for the price of an HVAC service call. And Unlike an HVAC service call you can return these to Amazon if it doesn't yield any appreciable improvements. I'm not advocating that these devices will be a cure all for people that have balancing issues, but for $25 it's much cheaper than calling a Tech out to tell you that everything's wrong, and that it'll cost $10k to fix it.
