sameeee lol even M2 is overpowered for a merely watching netflix or youtube. Still overkill for video editing and other productivity stuff

At the current laddering of the M-series processors, you are almost always better off with a previous gen higher ladder chip than a lower ladder current gen chip in terms of performance and usability, eg M4Pro vs M5, M3Max vs M4Pro etc., unless they make significant change to the physical design

lol that's funny because coincidentally I was on the same ship as yours. I bought a 15inch M3 MacBook Air 24GB(I want big screen) for $1099 about a month ago, but have been thinking if I want to upgrade to an open box 14inch M4Pro with 24GB. Ultimately I decided to use what I have instead of selling and buying and potentially losing bunch of money to gain the performance that, honestly, I don't really need. You should gauge your own needs and hassle factor to make this decision lol
