Weird how many posts in this thread are from accounts that are old enough to drive but have 4 posts, including one in this thread.Ah well, best site in the world to lurk. Also, in before this moves to the lounge.
Some people only post when it actually means something. I don't have that affliction lol.
Although SD has gotten somewhat bloated and at times ridiculous(save a nickel on a pack of chewing gum), I've been using this site since b4 the app was a thing. Thanks and keep the deals coming!
Upvotes are meaningless internet points. Deals that aren't deals aren't worth posting.
Those upvotes turn into popularity threads that turn into front page threads. Theyre also related to contribution coins for swag and other types of recognition. No one ever said deals that arent deals are worth posting, I explicitly said we arent asking a lurker to post deals. Go gobblygook elsewhere, your reply was total nonsense. Just because you dont value upvotes or coins, doesnt mean every one else doesnt. Perspective matters corn

The people that "value" fake internet points are the very ones that are ruining the posts. The wannabe experts who share their unsolicited opinions on things they don't even own, they make determining if purchasing the product is worth getting unnecessarily difficult. The people that complain about sugar content in snacks, the people who complain about movies not being realistic or people who have to complain about tariffs on every deal... they clog up actual discourse and complain when they see nobody agrees or cares about them. If you care about points go to reddit.
OMG....the HP touchpad was PEAK Slickdeals for me!...it was when I knew this site was something special. Bought 6 of those touchpads while driving between the border and New York and Canada.....I remember thinking "No way this deal goes through", but it did...thanks for the memories!
That was 2011! In July 2026 it would have been 15 years since the Touchpad release!

FACTS...I don't have the time to look around for deals and you guys have saved me loads of money over the years. Also cost me a lot of money, you know good deals will keep you broke!

Front page deals are whatever Slickdeals mods make. It's related to income, not popularity. "Swag". LOL... puppet.
I see lots of non-deals posted, all because people want fake internet points.
Moved over a bit reluctantly when that other deal/forum site folded years ago. And like Vitaly, esp. miss the FW Finance forum. Enjoyed the recent AMA over on reddit which makes me appreciate the Slickdeals team more. Thanks guys.
